pole clamp pad

i searched but can't find any pads. anybody know where they can be had or something available at home depot that will work - like weatherstripping?

I took a piece of PVC and cut a slot in it, and snapped it over the pole. It serves.

A piece of inner tube, rubber cemented to the clamp?

You need something that doesn't give.
Nate's idea is ideal.
Tape etc has too much give and still doesn't prevent the clamp screw compressing the pole.

I use 1in diameter fabric chair leg pads they advertise for moving stuff around. 😉

hay thanks!! all those are good ideas. i think i like the thin wall pvc idea and that could keep the pole from being crushed. i could rubber it to the pole. and i didnt even think of inner tube - good one too!! i haven't seen the chair leg thingys.
