We have a new owner of a convenience store in one of the cities I routinely pass through. Their price, quickly followed by others in close competition, have fallen to $1.299. Fifteen miles away, the price has dropped to $1.499.

Anyone remember when pumps couldn't handle prices over a dollar a gallon?
They had to get creative; some put a sticker with a 1 on it, in front of the price; others went to a half gallon price.

In 2009 in S Dakota I fillined up at a pump so old you had to multiply by ten.
