With the Christmas Holiday upon us and cold weather ahead a lot of us will be spending more time indoors.?ÿ If you have a little time to spend watch this old movie.?ÿ It's definitely NOT politically correct today but since it is 80 years old this year I don't think it matters.?ÿ A large portion of it was filmed on my Grandfather's farm in south Georgia.?ÿ Those of you who love dogs be sure and have a hanky ready.

The Yearling is the stupidest story ever. Like fencing in the deer is going to protect the garden because it is the only animal that might be a problem?

Different boys. Billy Lee in The Biscuit Eater and Claude Jarman, Jr. in The Yearling.

My favorite "old movie" about dogs (other than Ol' Yeller) is Sounder.?ÿ It was filmed around St. Helena and Feliciana Parish, LA in the early '70s.?ÿ

I was working in that area just a few years later and realized the film crew didn't have to look very hard to find the necessary scenery.?ÿ A beautiful place where one could almost imagine they had 'gone back in time'.?ÿ
