Today I thought I would buy some CDs to play in my new whip, actual CDs not a download from Itunes, I wanted the actual case with album cover art and songlist, something visceral to hold in my hand.
Granted I have not been music shopping in years but was suprised when I checked the local Best Buy only to find that they have nearly phased out music Cds completely except for a puney section with maybe a 100 Cds or so.
I then tried wal-mart only to find the same situation, I did pick up a 5150 CD for $6, hey I am a product of the 80's and its nice to go back sometime.
The interesting thing is that it seems vinyl must be making a come back, the vinyl section was just as big as the CD section.
Have you ever bought a CD just for a few songs and after repeated playing of some of the less known songs you start to like them better than the mainstream popular song from the CD. I am thinking this experiance is fading away with the advent of itunes ect., I am thinking the deep tracks just stay hidden and no one finds them because they don't have to anymore.
Crazy man...

Pandora (and others) will play some "deep tracks", in fact if you "type in" that "one tune" you bought the CD for, I bet you'll learn of new groups, not just new songs that you've never heard of before.

Yup. Some of the best songs are found that way, IMHO. :music:
PS: I am also an 80's brat. Like totally... 😛
