Keep in mind that for the time being, you can't enter Manhattan with less than three people in your car, at least on weekdays.

There's no power below 34th Street, generally, and the timetable to get it back are uncertain. The grid works in strange ways, so outages and restorations come in odd geographic shapes.

Also, the three person restriction makes rush hour a nightmare, due to turning people away at the various checkpoints. But once in the city, it's fairly quiet.
