If you run out of timeouts, the NCAA has deemed it acceptable to run everyone out onto the field so the ref can stop the clock.
Should Be Unsportmanlike Conduct.
15 yards or 15 seconds of the clock, the other teams call. Plus the clock restarts when the ball is set.
That is like the year they started the clock on the kickoff and Indiana (I believe) had several consecutive offsides on the kickoff to kill a lot of time against Penn State. Paterno was spitting bullets. The second offsides should have been unsportsmanliek conduct and the clock should have been reset to the time of the previous score.

I surmise Tommy is referring to the recent implosion of thugs in orange? What a bizarre game. The Vols had what, 25 total rushing yards? I can't imagine the "sting"---it would be like MS State playing a bowl game in Oxford and losing. Like the guy at ESPN said "that one will be an "ESPN Classic" for the next 100 years!"
PS: need address to send a couple thug basketball players to...;-)
well, that is why those coaches get paid the big $$.
It wasn't as bad as the mugging that Kansas State got in the Bronx yesterday.
geez, I wonder what the spread was on that game or the over/under.
I feel bad for Dooley. Looks like he has to get over some of these growing pains at TN.
TN has no one to blame but themselves for that lose. A total breakdown of discipline in the last minute of the game. All in all I was happy with UTs season this year. Dooley did better than I expect he could with the little bit of time and lacking roster that he had to work with. Look out for this team in 2 years.
TN made plenty of errors, but that doesn't excuse the refs for the end of regulation.
