There are no words to describe that scene. Except...Damn!
At first I'm saying "Wow, that's bad, look at all those cars pouring into that canal" or whatever it was. Then the parking lot full of cars starts hitting the building, then no more building. And you can see that happening a hundred times over in the background. Horrible.
Just heart wrenching.
This is some of the more dramatic footage I've seen. What struck me as amazing in much of the footage is that so many of the commercial buildings remained structurally intact, even at the forefront of the onslaught of water, not withstanding the warehouse that tore apart in this one. But the office building that the warehouse slammed into as it tore open didn't budge.
Even a lot of the houses that were swept off their foundations remained relatively intact while floating off and piling up much as cars did. That is quality construction.
The devastation brought on by this tsunami defies adequate description, but I have a new respect for "made in Japan" after seeing so many buildings hold together and remain in place.
The video is gone.

This one is almost 11 minutes long Dan and it's heart wrenching. I have not watched all of it, just seeing the opening scenes has made me not want to.

I have found it so true in my life that one never has a guarantee of tomorrow. We never do know what tomorrow may bring.

That is tough to watch.........
The Washington Coast would get slammed but it is sparsely populated. I can't imagine what one of these would do to the California Coast. What would it do to a state like Florida?
