I don't have a fax machine nor have I owned one for many, many years. When faxing was still relatively popular, I used efax.com, but even that was several years ago.
However, there still is an occasion where I need to send a fax here and there. I just had that need yesterday and it was the first time for quite awhile. So I went looking around online to see if there were any free fax services... sure enough, check out:
You can attach a multi-page document (such as a PDF) up to 3 pages long, uncheck the cover page box and "Send Free Fax". They send you a confirmation email, you confirm, and it sends. Works like a charm and there's no ads in your faxes.
There are other "free" fax services, but they are only for typing a message and sending (no attachments), and they put ads on the cover page. I needed to send some signed documents, so those others just didn't cut it for me.
thanks!
I do have a fax machine but this service is much easier than what I just went thru an hour ago...
1. find machine
2. uncover
3. dust off
4. find cables
5. plug it in
6. check for dial tone
7. listen to it holler at me while it sends
8. redial 5 or 6 times
BTW: despite my efforts I do not believe it ever got there...
You're welcome! And even if you need to send more than 3 pages, the prices are reasonable.
I use http://www.trustfax.com/, I have an older plan, $20 a year for I think 70 pages, the current plans are way more than that, BUT have way more pages which I don't need.

Just used the service again, awesome!
Thanks again for the tip Wendell, and thanks for the search tool too!
