It has been a year since the tatoo gate scandal began. About a year sgo Urban Meyer lied to the NCAA and Ohio State and it's players who seriously violated NCAA rules went to a bowl game. No final NCAA sanctions have been yet approved and 6-6 Ohio State is now going for a $2.7 million payout in the Gator Bowl. Come on guys, even the Big Ten should have sat Ohio State down plus banned them from a share of any other Big Ten Bowl proceeds.
Meanwhile NCAA justice comes quickly to the small schools. Last week before the Lehigh University Football Championship Subdivision playoff game against Towson State, a Lehigh player repeated a friends comments on Twitter. It has been deemed a racial slur and Lehigh's top receiver has been restricted by the NCAA from playing in Saturday's quarter final playoff game at North Dakota State. Ryan Spadola is a key figure in Lehigh's 4th ranked passing offense in the Football Championship Subdivision. He set a school record with 96 receptions this season, and his 1,614 yards are a Patriot League record. He has scored 11 touchdowns. It will take my Lehigh to climb a high hill tomorrow.
As to Ohio State there is still time, giggle, giggle, for the NCAA to ban them from playing. Then the Gator bowl can uninvite 6-6 Florida from playing and instead invite 11-1 Boise State to play 12-1 Houston. Florida can then go play 6-6 Arizona in Las Vegas. Only downside is it leaves Penn State without an opponent, hint, hint, the current USC student football serfs deserve a special break.

Huh? What did Urban Meyer lie to the NCAA and OSU players about a year ago?
Anyway, what gets me is that Urban/OSU has been granted a waiver that allows them to exceed the number of coaches allowed, so that Urban may begin recruiting for OSU, while the current HC prepares for the bowl game. What an advantage that is ... The rest of the top coaches are holding bowl practices, Meyer is on the road doing home visits ... nice way to reward a team under investigation.
Sorry, Wrong Ohio State Coach
Should have said Jim Tressel.
