The youngest daughter had a swim meet on Nantucket Saturday and it was a beautiful day for a slow boat ride to the island.
one good thing about Nantucket is that you always know where you are in relation to the rest of the world!
If you go to High School on the island you get treated to this each day. Just a few missing parts!
Our team came in third overall (7 teams) and Nantucket took first...
Don,
Wifey and I were in Nantucket once on a tour and my Daughter (16 at the time) lost her purse with her brand new drivers license therein. We were on a limited time schedule and didn’t have time to retrace where the purse may have been lost. On the walk back to the Ferry we passed the police station and we went in to see if anyone may have turned it in (I’m used to Florida, so immediately thought this was a complete waste of time) but lo and behold some local resident had found the purse on a bench in front of a boutique and deposited it at the police station! And, everything was intact including the $100 I had given her to shop. Amazing, I thought, there are actually some good people out there.
When we returned home I wrote the Mayor of Nantucket and applauded him, the citizens and the police department.
Ps: the Whaling museum is fantastic!
Have a great week!
