I bought a Sansui AU-555A (1971-75) integrated amp this morning. It just needed the pots and switches cleaned and lubricated with Deoxit. It cleaned up nicely. It has bass, midrange, and treble tone controls and even has separate inputs/outputs. Here it is paired with my matching TU-666 tuner that I acquired about a month or two ago. It is one of the last round face dial tuners that Sansui made. (1971-73)
The integrated amp sounds great. It is seriously underrated at 25 wpc, but produces more and is louder than you would think. It has a lot of dynamic headroom and sounds very musical.
Man, what a classic....like that dial....yeh the old systems seemed to put out a lot more than what was expected....good luck with fixing it up...
