He is a real friendly old tom cat. He eats a bit in the morning, then sleeps all day, then is up fighting all night. Occasionally I hear them "yelling, an hollering". Back again next day, eat a bit, and sleep, and back at it all night. I usually hear him 2-3x a wk. But, when he is not fighting near where I can hear him, he is fighting someplace else.

I think he is real happy. He has a tough load of scar tissue all over his face, and front body. Often he has fresh puncture wounds, and stuff. Usually you would not know it, unless you pet him. He is real friendly with the kids. Tolerates them real well.

I guess some cats have their own form of "Facebook".

🙂

Maybe he REALLY likes other tom cats more than they like him back.;-) 😛

Naw. He's part Indian. He loves fighting, and chasing girl cats.

He's normal. I have thought about cutting his nuts off, so he would live longer. But, I think he really likes living like a wild Comanche!

Shouldn't he be inside at night to minimise the killing of native wildlife?

Unfortunately by not de-sexing him you are probably adding to the feral cat problem in your area. I'm sure your local cat shelter/pound etc would be able to inform you as to the benefits of de-sexing.

We always had a tom and a queen with all their equipment. Kept the rodent population down real good and the Owls, Hawks and Eagles kept the cat population in check. In town, they were "fixed".

We are not in town. Our cats seem to last about 2 yrs. Then they disappear. Maybe foxes, coyotes, or Bobcats. But, they seem to live the life they were meant to. Very happy. We have a nice litter of 3 kittens. Maybe keep one, and that will keep the strain going. Sure does reduce the mice, and rodents.
