I want you to be on the lookout for a group of "Storm Chasers" in your general vicinity.
Mt wife and her brother left Monday morning for Oklahoma City to tour the Plains States searching for tornadoes.?ÿ They left this morning for Kansas and thence wherever.?ÿ Nebraska ? (be on the lookout Jerry Penry), Texas, Iowa or wherever the storms lead.
I enjoy sitting on the porch watching a good thunder storm but NO WAY am I going looking for tornadoes.?ÿ She says that is on her bucket list and I'll certainly support her though.

According to my radar, the most likely place to find one at the moment would be on the Iowa-Missouri border about straight north of Kansas City and heading east quickly.
Those areas are under a severe thunderstorm watch, but there's nothing about likely tornados at this point.?ÿ The NWS says:
The main hazards will be large hail and gusty winds along with localized heavy rainfall.
Now there is a line of bad stuff from the Colorado border near Tribune, KS through Salina, KS to about St. Jospeh, Mo.?ÿ That line then continues across Missouri to just south of Hannibal, MO.?ÿ But, more is blowing up around St. Louis.
@holy-cow I don't know where she was but she sent me a photo of a "land spout" or small tornado.?ÿ It was in the distance thank heavens.

We had hard rain starting about 2:00 for maybe 20 minutes.?ÿ I slept through it.

She said they spent the night in Salina Kansas.?ÿ When they reached the motel at about midnight the storm had knocked out power.?ÿ They plan to be travelling most of the day today.
