Tuesday morning one of the guys from another crew brought these by to show us. He was out on his snow machine on Sunday near Trego and found them. Said he crossed the moose track and found the first one then followed it for about a mile and found the 2nd one. Followed the it a bit further over to the northside of the ridge (into snow about belly deep on a moose) and found the moose dead on it's feet in the snow killed by wolves.
Better take them back where you found them. Had a relative get in big trouble in Colorado for collecting antlers on public land. They are protected under the law. I don't believe you can remove them. At least look up the law and be sure.
Here you can pick sheds unless they're on restricted areas like winter range.
Hey,
What are you guys doing in my office? lol
Sure looks familiar.

Here I was, expecting instructions on how to build a shed to protect your pet, Bullwinkle, from inclement weather.
Nice rack!!
:good:
Bad wolves. We'd love to ship a few thousand over your way if'n you ain't got enough.
Cool!
That's the hard part-finding the pair of them.
Before wolves the problem keeping the moose population up around here was getting them through the elk season without being shot-mistaken for an elk. How someone does that is beyond me but it happens every season to a number of moose; even the bulls.
