My neighbors are making fun out of our recent events.
They decided, like they always do, to build a snowman. The said they were going to make it as big as they could. The boy is 6'3" or so we knew it was going to get big. Then I suggested they get my 8' ladder out and really go for it.
So far it is easily over 9' tall and likely to hit 10' by the time this evening is done.
They started by just stacking buckets of snow on top one other going straight up. Now they are going to fill in all around it give it that familiar shape.
I'll do what I can to get pics tomorrow.

I ended up 5" by the time our event was done - early Monday morning. Today we had a lite drizzle which shortly turned into a spit of snow. The clouds looked like could have opened up with more today but it never happened.

Fun fun.
The mail hasn't ran in 2 days. I figure the garbage would'nt show up yesterday. Don't know what either one's problem was today. My neighbor was out in his Camero several times today and at least once yesterday.

monster snowman - RECIPE

Take a '77 Come air oh (the last with the steel bumpers)...
A fake Jeep (like the postal service used in '77)...
A International 7000 3-Axle Garbage Truck...
The entire offensive line of the local high school football team...
6" to 36" of fresh snow...

and a Surveyor's 8'(US foot) step ladder...

Pile it all together...

Dang BigE...post the pictures!!!

I just checked on them.
Looks like they topped out at 11'. Gods what a monster!!
Now they are building up the sides for mass. The base is about 3' and about 1' wide at the head - which has his eyes in place already.
Unfortunately things are freezing up quick and it's becoming difficult for them to get up more snow with that frozen crust on top.

Yes, I most definitely need to get pics tomorrow.
