"the (agency's) contact line had a message from this person and (upper level bureaucrat passed it on to me to give to you to see if you can figure out what they need. There's no phone number or address just a location near the intersection of Blank and Blank in your town."
So I checked the land records and of course all ownership in the area is to businesses with indistinct names..... so I drove over there today to knock on doors, which explains why my state rig was at the Headshop this afternoon....

I go in and introduce myself, (hadn't been in there before), and asked for Ms. #######, the girl had no Idea who that might be. I told her it might be the property owner, not the business owner, and I'd appreciate it if she could get me that name. I left my name and number and 1/2 hr later she calls up and says- yes that's the land owner and gives me a (way) out-of-state phone number to contact them. Everything's good... Back in the days when I had been out of high school for a few years and living far from my little home town a little business opened there. Mama decided she and her two daughters could make a tidy sum of cash "entertaining" men in her home. The daughters were barely legal at the time. Many years later I learned what happened to a friend of mine involving said house. His father was the local jack-of-all-trades. He got a call from the friendly house explaining that there was a plumbing issue or an electrical issue or something like that. As he passes through the living room of the house he says to my buddy, "Hey, Charlie, do you mind if I borrow your car to run up to the shop for a while." Charlie told his dad that would be OK. Dad then promptly drives to the red light district and makes the repair needed. Everybody saw Charlie's car up there and assumed he was spending some extra cash. He was not the least bit amused when he discovered what dear ol' Dad had done to him by borrowing his car.

It's a perfectly legitimate business enterprise now.

Try and convince Pence or Sessions of that. 🙁
