According to that tonight will be the best night.
I just found out about it.
Ironically I've been reading up on lots of astronomy this evening when I was told about it.

that would be awesome!!!
I saw 2 of the longest stripes I've ever seen earlier.
Called my baby brother in IL to maybe get him to go have a gander with his telescope.
He has a camera mount on his. He built his own solar filter and sent me some really cool pics when Venus transitted the Sun earlier this year. He also got some with Sun spots clearly visible.

I figure not too bad for a lawyer turned software engineer and amateur astronomer. Then again, he does work at the University of Illinois (Urbana) now so it should be no doubt he is plenty loaded up any kind of technical resources he might ever need.

Remember Nearly Nuts and his meteorite

Don't you boys go playing too close to the performance. Wouldn't want you to get hit in the arm by a meteorite.

Me too!! Use to love to go out into the Arizona desert in the back of my truck and just lay down and watch them fly through the skies. I like the comets too!! 🙂
