I am off, shortly, to the MA conference in Mansfield MA. The site is just down the road from Foxboro Stadium (or Gillette Stadium as it's now known).
Larry Phipps will be joining us for a business seminar (good choice!) and the local venders will be along, too.

if i do make it, i will probably fall asleep during it as i just pulled the second all nighter this week getting the Convention Manuals published and bound and getting projects done...
Should be a good time. Very much looking forward to walking down the hall to the dinner shortly.

Had the Chicken Cordon bleu. Always a good time talking with fellow professionals. Really enjoyed hanging out with Don Poole.

Got a photo with Don and Thadd. As expected, it is always a treat to get to hang out with a fellow Beer-Legger. Also, is should surprise no one that both Don and Thadd received special awards from the Society.
Have really enjoyed all the people and the convention.

Yankees but then he's a Colonial Surveyor like us!
Larry was our primary speaker for this new one day conference. His seminar(s) made me think and I learned a few new ideas on how to better market out services. He has some great concepts well worth exploring!
I skipped out early during our final dinner because I was beat and still had a few hours of driving to get home.
Thadd (spledeus on beerleg) was awarded a Presidential Citation for his extreme efforts for the last two conventions, and maybe more! No wonder he was a motley tired, too. You should see the book he printed for the convention.
I recieved one too. I figure they must be running out if worthy recipients 🙂
Great to meet and hang with Larry. Make sure you have him speak at your convention! You won't regret it!

Congrats to you, Don. For those who do not know, Don organizes our TrigStar program and our annual Surveyor's Day on Boston Common. He chaired an outstanding convention 5 years ago and has been a great volunteer for the MALSCE organization.
Larry is a great speaker. Anybody with the opportunity should attend one of his sessions and I hope we have him back next year.
Pretty good show, but one day is not enough. Not to divert the topic, but I do not see CEUs being truly effective with single day seminars.
