I guess I better quit complaining.
The first subdivision I ever did in my county, which has county wide zoning, had a cul- de- sac. I had read the regulations, which said the requirement was a minimum 75' radius. This being a county with a population of 8000 or so, and a lot of lakefront lots with roads built along the ridges. So I assumed whoever wrote the regs had obviously meant 75' diameter, so that's what I used. One of the ladies on the planning commission jumped all over that and wouldn't approve it, so I stuck around until the meeting was over. When they came out, I pulled out a tape and held 75' and handed her the end and told her to walk around it. When she had walked about halfway around and ran out of the courthouse parking lot, she got the point. Next meeting the regs were amended.
