Playing in a premier conference really sucks sometimes. So far this season eight Big 12 teams have been ranked in the Top 25 by AP or BCS or both. Beating up on one another results in poor looking records that would be spectacular if allowed to only play other teams across the country whose records look better because of their weak conferences.

One example: K-State is 6-4 and a miserable 3-4 in the Big 12. Those losses were to Nebraska (once ranked #5, now #9), Baylor (once ranked #21), Oklahoma State (once ranked #10, now #12) and Missouri (once ranked #6, now #15). Wins include over Texas (once #5, who defeated Nebraska once #5), Kansas who defeated Georgia Tech #15 at the time, Iowa State who defeated Texas (once #5), UCLA who defeated both Texas (#7 at the time) and Houston (#23 at the time), University of Central Florida who defeated Houston, and Missouri State (the only easy game). Next week's game is with Colorado who has already defeated Georgia, Iowa State and Hawaii. Fortunately, they will not be in the Big 12 Championship game which would only further hamper their strength against whomever they get to play in a bowl game somewhere.

It's pretty good in Okie State land right now. 9-1 and the only loss to a team in the other division in he north. Two more games and we will probably see them again.

A different time of the season though.

Cowboy up folks. We are for real.

Bedlam is a toss up this year. It should be a great game.

Let's hope the pokes play half as good as they have been...and the sooners play twice as good as they have been.
