Leica's My World does not have a Geoid12.exe for download yet, anybody been able to get Geoid12 to work in LGO? (for non Leica users, Leica provides their own *.exe that LGO calls to compute the geoid separations, the grid files are native NGS files, you just need the correct *.exe to read them internally for LGO) I tried just renaming the Geoid09.exe, BUT that doesn't seem to work, I suspect there is coding that only looks for the g2009???.bin files in the *.exe, I don't think the NGS format has changed from Geoid09 to Geoid12 so the same *.exe that LGO calls during geoid calculations should theoretically work for both models, I think anyway???
I am sure Leica will be publishing this soon, just getting anxious to use it since we have four days left before OPUS will no longer provide CORS96 positions, essentially for new projects CORS96 is dead!

I have an assurance from my salesman/support at Leica to notify me as soon as something is available. I really can't imagine what the excuse is for the delay. It's not like the release of Geoid12 should have caught them by surprise.
FWIW, When I got into using Carlson SurvNet last fall (Carlson Survey 2011) I found that Geoid06 was loaded on install but Geoid09 was nowhere to be found. I contacted Carlson and they came up with Geoid09 files to install. In other words, they didn't consider it important enough to just have on install, and hadn't been asked about it enough to have a solution on their website. Huh.

Talk to Mark Armstrong about Dr. Mike Olson's conversion tool. It might be of help to you.
John, yes that might be of use for certain things, I am going to try to move away from CORS96 for ALL new projects, just did my first project on 2011, the OPUS check was within mm of the published (a HARN mon, or should I say HPGN since this was in CA 2?), the OPUS height had a little slop, BUT the Hz nailed it vs. published, now that the Geoid12 model is out, I see no reason to stick with the old realization other than on continuing projects.
I meant to post this in "surveying", hopefully it will still get some exposure here.
