Hi,
For those who have never seen one, I also used on stage for 20 years, a Maton cw 80,and a Takamine fg something, which had a goosneck mic attachment, I had radio mics so I could run around the bar etc, had strats and les pauls, but went back to the Takamine.

I used to take a break from construction surveying and sing fulltime, which you can do in Australia,300 to 600 bucks a night for 4 hour gig, I would travel out west to the country towns as well, sometimes sing only, or if i got a residencey for awhile, I would get a day job just to not get bored.

I remember one time I had to sing in Darwin, I finished the st patricks day gig at 12 pm, I had dyed my hair green,we poured concrete at night in those days, went to work on a highrise to shoot levels for the pour, it had light rain, the green dye was running down my face, the greek concretors looked at me strange, the project manager on his only visit to site at night, looked at me and said'' do we actually pay you to do this''

My last gig was at a copper mine site where i was surveying, near mt isa, did the company xmas party, got 400 bucks for the gig, blew up a ,speaker which cost 400 to fix, have not played since, I was about 46 then i think, 12 years ago, just lost interest in playing music.

These guitars just sit under the bed, maybe played for 1 hour each in 10 years.

LEFT HANDED GUITARS

I saw another article about left handed guitars today. If you're shopping for more, there are some available.

I attempt to play a lefty Dean electric-acoustic classical with nylon strings. If you heard me play, you would know what I mean. I also have a lefty Strat from the Custom shop in the process of being overhauled, will see how it goes once it is up and running.

I do far better on keyboards as a second instrument than guitar, will always be a brass player at heart. I have to think about what I'm doing on guitar or keyboards, while on brasswinds I think about what I am saying.
