Last page of the book

Like them or not, Lynyrd Skynyrd was a pop band that chiseled their name on the proverbial rock wall of remembrance. 

Don't get my lyin' cause I never followed them that much..but apparently a lot of folks did...through all the highlights and pitfalls of rock stardom.  They endured successful notoriety, drug and alcohol addiction, car crashes, plane crashes and gold and platinum albums.  And recently the last surviving original member Gary Rossington, 71, passed away.

It feels like reading the last page of a long book.  There's nothing left to do but close the book and place it back on the shelf..and remember all the chapters.
