Larry,
I had a real nice visit with you on Thursday. It's always a visit to look forward to making. I was a little miffed that the leaf situation was not what I would wish. They were ok but I have seen a lot better.
Got up yesterday morning and found a little coat of ice on my vehicle with about a half inch of fresh snow on top of the ice. I hope that is the extent of snow in my future for this winter. Got the vehicle clear of ice and snow, checked out of the Motel and headed toward home. Got on the Parkway and drove it to Fancy Gap, there I took the interstate to Raleigh and then US64 back to the Mount. Got back around 4 PM. The drive was 244 miles to West Jefferson and right at 300 miles back home, the difference being mostly the Parkway. Not much traffic on the Parkway till almost to the get off at Fancy Gap.
Now I have to catch up on doing nothing that I missed out on the trip. Doing nothing is much harder than doing something. You have to be careful doing nothing to make sure you don't make a mistake and do something. I about have the routine perfected though.
Again thanks for the visit, it's always a lot of fun.
Jerry M. Davis
Always a pleasure hanging out with you Jerry. Not gotten the photos out of my camera yet. Will send you a copy when I do.
Meanwhile my advice to anyone is if you get the chance to meet (even better hang out with) Jerry, do not miss the opportunity. Always time well invested.
