My 11yo daughter won second place in the 2011 AAU Junior Olympics, in NOLA, in kumite (fighting).
She got silver by a 1/2 point loss to a girl from Dallas, TX.
I remember you posting of her success last year. She is obviously a very serious student.
She trains very hard, at least, five days a week. We are hoping she gets told she can test for her black belt next weekend.
I am sure getting 2nd place will look good to her Sensei.
that is awesome!! Congrats all around. I should look into that for my daughter.. I think she would like it.
Can she kick your butt?
Just curious.
Don
Damn close.
She spins around and gets behind me faster then I can turn, usually getting in a few kidney shots before I can make it around and get to blocking.
Freaking kidney shots hurt.
It has been great for our daughters, I highly recommend it to all fathers of young daughters. Self esteem is way up there.

This weekend my youngest daughter took her test for black belt and was successful. She know holds the JKA rank of Shodan. (First degree black belt)
Is this a different daughter than the 11 year old? And if so, can SHE kick your butt?
