Ugh....the last few days here have been pleasant. Next week is calling for the upper 90's and a heat index 5-7° higher. We;re in Clinton NC. Hang in there and hopefully the cooler stuff will be here sooner than later.

Welcome to Texas weather. At least yours will quit. Ours is that hot from June to mid September. Also, you don't have the humidity that we do. I noticed on the weather tonight that you folks had little to not heat index. Ours today hit a high of 93. Nit bad till you factor in the 50% humidity equating to a heat index of 104. Did I mention I was welding pipe fence today since 7 am? 🙂

every yr whiners complain about the heat, put your water away get out your lined wool shirts and go to work--

a few yrs back spent a whole day topoing a parking lot and road in laughlin at 129 degrees, the coolest day of the week was 113 at bullfrog landing--
try 100 degrees with 100 percent humity in a salt marsh in nh cutting line thru bamboo--

It was 97 on Portland at about 11AM. While riding through the city I saw "News Team 8" with a camera crew filming the time temperature sign. Tomorrow the air inversion starts.

I had to start a fire in my woodstove this morning. 48F and raining hard, it got down to 57 in the cabin, and with the damp, felt a bit chilly

50% humidity?
How do I get some of that?
It will probably be at 100% humidity until some time in late September.
It is now 75 with 95% humidity.
