Some impatient BMW driver kept flashing his lights at me on Highway 20 (curvy). I had about a mile to go to my forest road turn off.

So I put my amber blinky-blinky lights on, Hee hee hee.

I am good about using the turn outs but when someone acts like a 6 year old child I tend to make them sit back there. I don't push it on those roads like most people; that's too much work and frankly hard on the vehicle (gas brake gas brake downshift brake etc). Also it makes the passenger sick.

Unfortunately, a lot of the people that buy BMW's and other supposedly high-performance vehicles think that the public roads are some kind of proving ground for their vehicles. If you are going the speed limit, you are preventing them from living out their dream as a James Dean-type risk-taker. I would like to have a BMW someday not to race everybody on the road but so when I drive up Highway 1, my car would hug the road a little better than my F-150 does. But if I never do own one, they'll just have to wait till a nice big turnout comes along.

Let them go by you then, get behind them then start the re-enactment...

You know the difference between a BMW and a Pineapple?

With a Pineapple, the pricks are on the outside!

You are as bad as they are!

Doing things to purposely aggravate another driver is as bad as them if not worse. The best thing for you to do, if there was space, was to pull over and let them by. By doing what you did you got their level of frustration even higher and made them more dangerous down the road. And I doubt this is the case, but are you sure they weren't in some sort of an emergency situation?

I get more agitated when I'm BEHIND the guy in the BMW that can go 155 mph and he's doing 45 in the fast lane...

the doof expects me to pull off on a slightly wider part of the shoulder which is gravel and full of potholes and there is at least a 4" drop off at the EP. There are actual turn-outs (essentially a short passing lane with an 8" solid lane stripe) but none in the stretch he was behind me. I have no problem using those but he's blinking at me after we went by a potholed mess; my reaction is cool your jets buddy especially when my turn off is just down the road a little.

I usually just ignore the idiots; my employee kind of chuckled because normally I'm calm and he is a little more demonstrative. I'll say "they can't hear you!" I also say that to my wife when she's talking to some stupid driver.

Rich jerks just annoy me, sorry. I know the type, a jock with a type A personality, they usually know what they know and don't consider there are other people out here. Maybe he's not really rich he's just leasing the car, up to his eyeballs in debt.

I used to rush everywhere when I was younger too.

What I love to do is...there is a ski area just down the road from me, 55 going into a 40 where there is usually a deputy or a trooper hidin' out with radar...I used to sit there myself when I was on the sheriff's. These folks are either in a hurry to get to the hill, or jacked up from racing down the hill all day. So, all you need to do is go slow in the 55, because of deer, or weather, and you can tell the ones that will pass---hold them to the 40 zone and then let them go by ya. They know where the 40 zone is, it just doesn't apply to them....all you have to do is observe our roads and our grocery store isles, need to get some of these folks off the road!!

Alfred Hitchcock Presents - Road Hog

"What can’t go around comes around for a road-hogging salesman who won’t allow a truck bound for the hospital to pass."

😉

Also, Sunday drivers and "impatient" drivers go hand in hand.

Flash em with a couple of those KC halogen beams and they will back off to keep those developing sun spots from forming in their eyes during daylight hours.

You may have him pegged right. He may have just been a jerk in a hurry for no good reason. But then again, like Dave Ingram said, he may have had a genuine emergency he was contending with.

Bottom line is that you are not in a position to decide whether or not his reason for being in a hurry is good or not. If it's safe to let him by, do so. If it's not safe for you to get out of the way and let him by, just continue on your way until it is. Either way, screwing with him is not a good idea.
