I can understand how it's possible he considers those to be trophies, but, it isn't normally recommended to display them where the wife can find them and inquire as to whence they cometh.

I can't figure out how the pistol is supported in that picture. Surely not with an antler tine jammed into the bore? Antlers are pretty tough, but if you grabbed the pistol in a hurry and broke off the tip of the antler, that would be a mighty dangerous situation.
