How about those Cubs! I'm shocked not one post about the huge win over the Cardinals! It was an epic battle of two of the best teams and managers in Baseball today. Possibly better than many World Series'!
I can respect long time suffering Cubs fans. I assume you're one of them.
What chaps me is all these people coming out of the woodwork that think you score touchdowns in baseball suddenly deciding they love the Cubs.
Everyone knows Angel is a huge Cardinals fan.......they're probably just allowing a period of mourning and trying not to rub salt in the wound.
It's not like I posted after the last out. Sheesh.
I love baseball and that was a great series.
And yes, a lifelong Cub fan here.

I wasn't taking a shot at you, just giving my thoughts as to why no one else had mentioned it yet. Must need to adjust my wry humor filter. B-)
So I guess the whole Brady thing is gone now.... Where are the cubs from? lol
The Brady news will reappear after January 1st during playoffs
(Just gotta say it.) Present!
Would love to see a Cubs vs Mets series.
That would be fun, but impossible until one of them moves to the American League/ Missed out on my goal of an I-70 Series like in 1985.
As a New Yorker I am happy that the Mets are advancing to the NLCS.
Considering the last eight or nine years, and where they were expected to finish, it's been a great season.
I only wish it weren't against the Cubs........they have been waiting a long, long time.
It could be worse.....anyone who is a Texas baseball fan has to be having a lousy week.
Oh well, as the BROOKLYN dodgers used to say, "Wait until next year!"
Should be a great NLCS, Mets vs Cubs. My dad was a huge Mets fan, the Amazing Mets. I'm sure he's got his bleacher seats reserved, waiting for the first pitch. Let's go METS!! My Red Sox had a dismal 2015 season, already counting down the days to Spring Training 2016.
-BbB B-)
I have followed the Texas Rangers since they formed the team.
It is the same old thing year after year, they fill the bench with some of the greatest talent available and in the end, "they beat themselves".
" Still present."

I didn't have time to watch it too much...my mom's heart stopped that day and they shocked her back. She comes out of it, takes off the breathing thing, and grumbles a bit about no baseball. I tell her baseball IS on tonight. Then she decided to watch the ball game and rooted for the Cardinals! Hell froze over! Then the next day she changed her mind and decided to root for the Cubs! Her and dad were all over me when the Cards got their butts beat. Grrr... Then the day after that her heart stopped again and I didn't give a rats ass anymore. :u:
But... I WAS rooting for the Cubs to beat the Mets and win the WS. It would have fulfilled the BTTF2 movie prediction and helped out my sister quite a bit. (She's in the movie. B-) )
Next year my boys will take it all. 2006, 2011... 2016. Five year itch.
