Only one top ten matchup;

# 3 South Carolina at # 9 LSU, I'll go with LSU.

Other top 25 matchups;

# 17 Stanford at # 7 Notre Dame, I'll root for Stanford

# 15 Texas at # 13 Oklahoma, I'll stick with the home team.

# 22 Texas A & M at # 23 Louisiana Tech, Ho Hum.

This is the first time in years of picks that Notre Dame came thru for me

Texas Tech rolled

LSU found their game

Texas is better than that,
the young herd must miss their home stadium and are tired of playing the the Historic Arena. Maybe they need to review film of Darrel Royal in action on the field to know what their horns are for. Don't know if you have ever seen the innards of the Cotton Bowl circa 1932 or have taken that long march up the stairs to the privy and experienced the fact that you are on State of Texas land and not a normal sporting arena. Still and hopefully forever this shrine will remain a historic landmark in Texas. Willie Nelson moved his picnic out of there in the 70's cause it was too contained for his 4th of July celebrations. This rivalry does need a designated tailgating section in order to become the only game in town. The State Fair of Texas and Big Tex himself will let you know that they are merely second to the game on this one day of October. One year I watched it from the Reunion Tower on a great day for the Horns and found out that the original days of sitting on top of the north wall of the Cotton Bowl and spreading the intensity of the game across the metroplex was disappearing. BTW there is a 10ft chain link fence in place to protect that wall these days. It is about 50 feet from the best salt water taffy booth to stop at.

Still waiting Texas A&M, they are on course

HOOK EM HORNS

Stanford's Coaches Beat Stanford

Stanford had a pair of tight ends with an 8 inch height advantage over Notre Dame's linebackers and safeties, but still ran the fullback right up the middle three times in a row on the goal line.

The forward pass has been legal for 106 years, maybe they should have considered it.

Just one misnomer there Paul.

OU/Texas is not a home field for either team. It is about 1/2 way between the two schools.

BTW OU stomped UT.

B-)

I think it is always played in Dallas during the weekend of the Texas State Fair.
