I guess I could have put this under Education (grin).
NASCAR and Daytona Speedway are going to host graduation ceremonies for two Flagler County high schools.?ÿ The students must remain in their cars as they drive around the 2 1/2 mile track.?ÿ I know this won't make up for the loss of the final few months of high school and all the perks that go with being a senior but I think this is something they will always remember.?ÿ I assume there will be some form of speed control (Pace Car?).?ÿ I know it would have been dangerous to turn my senior class loose on a track where speeds regularly exceed 200 mph.

In my day half the class would begin an all-out race to the finish line as we were a rebellious bunch and half the guys had built their own car from some clunker they found in a family member's yard.
My prediction of the calm and serene ceremony for most graduations, if held at all.
