It is going to be hot, here in Puyallup, for the next week or so.

Hope it's nice where you are; stay cool my friends...

Here's what we're not looking forward to. Our previous record was 107 about 79 years ago. And it's even rarer that we get two or more over-100 days in a row.

"Oh, but, it's a dry heat.?ÿ It won't bother you."

?ÿ

Says everyone living in high humidity areas during Summer when talking about what happens in the Western one-third of the US.

@ric-moore

It's much better now. Still unseasonably hot and dry, but not 118?ø either. That was brutal.

I worked in the field for a long stretch before I got my license and moved into the office.?ÿ After a number of years inside, I decided to go back into the field.?ÿ After about 5 years I started realizing that I wasn't getting any younger when I was pushing hard to finish up cross sections by the end of the day at 99?ø, no shade and no breeze.?ÿ I was in the process of having a heat stroke when I took the last shot running the prism.?ÿ Needless to say, I've been back in the office since and never push my crews in the heat.?ÿ My guys have had to deal with some pretty brutal heat this summer, so far, and it's a long way until fall gets here.?ÿ
