It finally quit down here, for now. I guess there's 5 or 6 inches on the ground.
Hope all your "girls" are put up near some hay.
I have about 60 inches here in Nova Scotia....
Yes, but only somewhere around 3 inches
It really screwed up my 200 mile journey, too. At 7 there was no snow. By 8 when I left there was maybe 1/4 inch. Speed limit to five mph slower was fine on the way north, most of the way anyway. Lawrence was a different story. Mother Nature and a glacier or two shoved up some danged hills in that burg. At least most of the documented Democrats had the good sense to stay in their homes while I invaded their neighborhood. All the little basketball players made it to their games, though. After treating the younger generations to lunch at a new Buffalo Wildwings the drive home was a PITA. The highway road crews may have done a great job somewhere but it sure wasn't anywhere along my route. Just South of Garnett on Highway 169 there were two full-sized fire trucks completely blocking the roadway forcing traffic to take Highway 59 whether or not they wanted to. I'm guessing there must have been something very nasty involving emergency personnel a short distance south of that junction. This is the point at which the caravan grew to about triple the normal size and the lead car was doing 28 mph and no one was going to try to pass it.
As for the "girls", they were prepped very well yesterday late so didn't require my full attention. That's called excellent planning.

Mike
That's incredible!!!!
What are the drifts?
How do you heat also ?
I am thinking about visiting Nova Scotia this summer.
Y'know Northern Acadiana:-)
We're melting! We're melting!
Sort of a Wizard of Oz-esque response here in Kansas. The air temp may only be 27 but the sun is doing it's job. That super wet snow is slowly turning into super wet slush. The pickup is probably 200 lb. heavier than when it left the carport. Should be 37 by mid-afternoon. Should be mid-forties on Monday and Tuesday before the thunderstorm moves in.
