Well this past weekend was a wash. Rained all day Friday and Saturday. I spent most of my day Saturday getting my package together for submitting to the board. Sunday was clear muddy and wet. Some farm chores and cleaning the gutters on the house as the rain told the story on them being stopped up. My youngest 8 year old daughter loves to help well with the ground being so soft and me trying to get up and clean them I had to tell her No this time for safety reasons. As I was moving the ladder around the house the wife was holding the ladder and as I was coming down I saw my daughter with a notebook. Here she was discussing with mom what all she needed done and she had her tape measure and was measuring distances doing math and commenced handing my wife a bill for the gutter cleaning services. As I finished up we moved back inside and I asked how much money we made on the job. She well dad you didn’t do a good job so i am taking it out of your pay. I made a mess coming back inside and that cost me. Then she created a book sale and massage parlor business. She is an entrepreneur at heart. Awesome to see them just growing and learning.
They grow up fast and they do not generally get that thirst for knowledge to challenge themselves or to make this a better place on their own. Spend time with them while you can,
