An official announcement will be made tomorrow but all the evidence points to discovery of a bacteria type lifeform. Titan has liquid oceans with a good amount of arsenic, but arsenic can support photosynthesis. The background of the four experts NASA has consulted for this report support the theory.

At the distance of Saturn sunlight is considerably reduced but Saturn itself adds some warmth. Life must be evolving at a considerably slower pace than here on earth.

Fox decided to accompany this story with a picture of the kid on his bike in front of the moon from the movie "E.T.".
Considering the potential importance of such a story, that is one strange editorial decision.
If in fact NASA has found evidence of "extra-terrestrial" LIFE (which it appears they may have), this would be VERY BIG NEWS!
I have believed for a long time that “LIFE” (both as “we know it” and “other forms” as well) will be found to be very common in the Universe. I suspect that at some point, we will come to realize that “life” is as much a PART of the Universe, as the commonly excepted “forces” (Electromagnetism, Gravity, “the Strong Force” & “the Weak Force”).
May the Force be with you!

As Arthur C. Clarke pointed out we should be prepared for life that can exist in forms that are foreign to us. Maybe life can exist without photosynthesis........
In the great infinity of space anything can, has, and will occur...
Life already exist way down deep in the abyss without photosynthesis and doing well from what I have read. Going to wait for more evidence for high life form in space. Although some old features and stone work found on earth from ancient cultures seem to point to their existence at one time.

So much for alien life-forms on Titan. It's an arsenic-munching bacterium in Mono Lake in California. Pretty cool, I guess, but a little less drama than I had hoped.
