The wife and I took the kids and one of their friends to new Smyrna beach here in Florida for the 4th. We arrived about supper time. I'm looking forward to spending a couple of days dong absolutely nothing on the beach and by the pool.
After supper (home made baked spaghetti), I breezed out on a lounge chair watching some lightning light up some clouds way out over the ocean. Gorgeous!!!!!!

Sounds like a wonderful day to me!!! 🙂 If Wendell reads this he will be on me again to make my home made Spaghetti & Meatballs. It takes forever to make but it is delicious. Yum!!
We are supposed to be playing in a Fourth of July Tennis Tournament/Social thing at our local tennis club but I don't think the weather is going to cooperate. That means watching Wimbledon on TV instead :-/. But at least then I can catch up on a bunch of legal descriptions, while I'm watching, that are due on Wednesday.

Raining in Lawton today also. As it did both friday and saturday.
We had tickets to see Toby Keith at the polo field but it was pouring and our VIP passes didn't work as planned to get us under the tents so we bugged out and had a nice meal at the Olive Garden. Almost had it to ourselves as some 25,000 people were at the concert.
Then we were supposed to ride in a poke run yesterday. Pouring again. They expected 500 bikes but only 50 dared the weather. I don't mind getting wet during a ride but I am not starting out on one in heavy rain.
If we get some breaks today in the rain then I'm going to do some steaks and boodan on the grill and we will just make it a cozy day at the house. I do need to finish up some ironing for my trip next week so maybe I'll get started on that.
