I discovered last year that I had Irish ancestors. Great-grandparents Patrick Murray and Catherine Kelly were married on August 1, 1874 in Belfast Cathedral. They later moved to Salford, Manchester. My mother told me stories about walking over to chat with him as he sat in the window of his little apartment.

I too was recently shocked Mr. Small, that our family researcher came up with the notion that on my mothers side we go back to Ireland as well!!
I'll be digging into this FURTHER!!
