no, not that one.

i've set a good number of corners over the years downtown, but the caps always had the employer's (or firm) name on them.?ÿ?ÿ

today this went in the ground:

replaced a rod i originally set in 2006- one that recently got yanked by some guys setting forms.

feel like a big ol' dork today- remarkable how satisfied i was when i realized i had to put another one in.

You mean you didn't abscond with some of your previous employers caps so that you can find a "set pin"??ÿ ??ÿ ?

i only use those for setting pincushions near old r.o.w. monuments.

?ÿ

here's one i found last week that i almost wish i could take:

IMG 5754

3/4" square rod that's milled or ground or somehow tapered down to about a 1/8" round end.?ÿ not a bit of flagging on it, but it ended up being the keystone for figuring out the how/why of how an entire block got screwed up after 1935.?ÿ (fit against a pipe about 700' away within a couple hundredths, and matched what was the platted lot line at the time).
