They will be finishing shortly. Tricky waters they are entering right now. Very deceptive when you're on the water at Race Point to Long Point Provincetown. Also the southwest tip at Woods End shoals out quite a ways. It's going to be tough to make that turn to port to clear Woods End.
Plus they are fighting an outgoing tide!

Most people don't realize how much experience and strategy goes goes into a race.

No fooling! And many people wonder why they just don't go straight there!!
Whats with all this tacking and gibing!
The Alabama is the Schooner that the Lettie G. Howard beat in the 2008 Regatta at Provincetown. After losing in the Gloucester to Provincetown regatta.
