From NSPS: Senate bill to limit DHS acquisition of UAS

Sens. John McCain (R-AZ), Jeff Flake (R-AZ), and Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) have jointly introduced S. 159, the "UAS Improvement Act of 2015." This bill prohibits the procurement of new UAS by the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). It also requires DHS to submit a detailed report to Congress regarding the program's effectiveness, as a follow-up to the December 2014 DHS Inspector General report highly critical of the DHS request for an additional $443 million to acquire 14 more UAVs
