Somebody said it's an Alabama Calico.

A few years ago before I moved back to the north country, a cat remarkably similar to that one holed up under my porch in Los Gatos for a week or two. It was not a friendly cat either. Downright inhospitable in fact.

Finally had to pull that rascal out from under the porch with a pruning hook, which damaged the poor thing to the extent that I had no recourse except to toss that cat down into the creek bed and let the local coyotes do the rest. Whoever owned that cat probably missed it a lot, but I didn't lose any sleep over it.

As bumper-stickers and billboards in Mississippi say, "Eat mo'possum"

If I've told this story before, excuse me, but I fell asleep on the couch with the back door open one night and I got up to go to bed and turn off the lights and such when I realized there was a possum in the laundry room eating the cat food. I opened the door and got the broom to escort him out and he went underneath the dryer. I kept poking at him until he came out and gave me such a dirty look I've never seen. It was like "I'm going, I'm going, give me a break". They are born cranky and if I looked like that I'd be in a bad mood too. Oh, maybe that's why I'm in a bad mood.

That's funny. I would also like to post it on my facebook status if it's alright with you.

Thank you,
Phillip

I've told this one before.

I was asleep on the couch when my wife woke me up to come to bed.

"Get Rex inside first" she said. Rex was our rex cat, bald and strange. She didn't fit in with the other cats and has to be brought inside every night. I stumbled outside and found Rex at the cat bowl eating. A whole group of other cats were sitting there watching her eat.

I lean down to pick up the eating cat, and right before I grabbed it, it turned and bared it's teeth and snarled at me! It was a possum! I came within inches of picking it up and bringing it inside!

Now wide awake I noticed Rex was one of the cats just sitting there, watching the possum eat.

FREE Cat

I remember my dad telling me that while on a Job near a 2-lane public Road he found a recently road-killed Cat. It looked fine on the Exterior and Rigamortis had set in. So he straightened the Cat out, put a Smile on its Face and stood it up next to the Edge of Pavement! He couldn't say it with a straight Face about how the Cars going by were swerving to avoid the (dead) Cat! 😀
