This should be a gem of an investigation.
Louis Freeh to Arlene Specter at the Ruby Ridge hearing, "Although I was not FBI Director when the Rub Ridge crisis occurred, I am sincerely disappointed with the FBI's performance during the crisis, and especially the aftermath. These hearings have only served to confirm that belief. The FBI has, however, learned from its mistakes. I have changed almost every aspect of the FBI's crisis response structure and modified or promulgated new policies and procedures to address the flaws and shortcomings apparent to the FBI's response. I am committed to ensuring that the tragedies of Ruby Ridge never again happen."
Ruby Ridge occured in 1992.
Then Waco occured in 1993.
Louis Freeh was very instrumental in covering up for Janet Reno in that second incident. In 2001 Freeh resigned because he could not do what he said he would do.
Freeh went on to be on the board of directors of MBNA and as their general counsel.
MBNA is one of the leaders in unfair business practices by credit card companies, including doubling or tripling of interest rates, shifting billing due dates/payment cycles monthly, and raising rates for customers whose payments were a day or two late. MBNA has been found to be one of the leading implementors of Rate-Jacking.
So exactly which quality is Penn State looking for in Freeh, his ability to cover things up, his ability to not be able to do things or his ability to extract money?

Perhaps his ability to investigate child molestation.
Is that a problem?
Don
Don, There Is No Need To Investigate The Child Molestation
That investigation is the job of the Commonwealth.
What has to be investigated is the PSU Trustees failure to investigate their employees failures. Penn State Trustees are saying they were totally unaware of child molestation charges, yet the grand jury investigation was reported by the local newspapers a year prior. The Board of Trustees chose to close their eyes.

Don, There Is No Need To Investigate The Child Molestation
And for some reason Louis Freeh is incapable of that?

Louis Freeh Is Very Capable Of Closing His Eyes
🙁
It is not Louis Freeh's or the PSU Trustee's job to investigate the child abuse. They are not capably trained and would cause more harm than good. Child abuse is criminal, amateurs should stay away.
Louis Freeh Is Very Capable Of Closing His Eyes
As am I.
Good night, or
Should I say
GOOD NIGHT!
No, that would be misinterpreted as rude.
Which I am not

Puhleese, get a grip on reality. Freeh is no "amateur", especially if we are talking criminal matters.
From Wiki:
Louis Freeh was educated by the Christian Brothers and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers University in 1971. He received a J.D. degree from Rutgers School of Law-Newark in 1974 and an LL.M. degree in criminal law from New York University School of Law in 1984.
Freeh was an FBI Special Agent from 1975 to 1981 in the New York City field office and at F.B.I. Headquarters in Washington, D.C. In 1981, he joined the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York as an assistant U.S. attorney. Subsequently, he held positions there as Chief of the Organized Crime Unit, Deputy U.S. Attorney, and Associate U.S. Attorney.
He was also a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserve. In 1991, President George H. W. Bush appointed Freeh a judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, a position he held until he was appointed FBI director by President Bill Clinton in 1993. As a youth, Freeh became an Eagle Scout in 1963 and in 1995 was awarded the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award by the Boy Scouts of America.
Freeh began his career as an agent of the FBI, and was later an assistant United States Attorney and a United States district court judge, the position he held when appointed FBI director. He is now a lawyer and consultant in the private sector.
Apologies To Louis Freeh
I find out today that Louis Freeh is an experienced pedophile investigator. That I based my statements on the belief that he was not a good FBI Director may not be relevant to the matter at hand. I also found out that he has a qualified team of former FBI agents behind him.
Here is a link to a rather detailed summary of the incidents that adds much information to what was previously known to the public. It was sent to me by a Penn State graduate.

Thanks for the link, in time much more is sure to lead to the public.
