My older brother use to pay lots of money to go elk hunting in southern Colorado every year. As far as "hunting" goes I never really believed it fit the definition. Pay lots of money to have a guide drive you out to get a guaranteed shot and have the hired help climb the rocks on foot to recover the animal.
Then you're driven back to the beautiful lodge and lubricated with distilled spirits in front of a roaring fire. By the time you wake up your meat is cleaned and aging in their butcher shop.

Too sanitary for me...Although I'm sure a wonderful time was had by everyone, I never could afford the lofty prices.

BUT...he would finally get all his meat back down here all neatly wrapped and labeled. He had a freezer that was dedicated to his wild game. His wife and kids would never eat or cook it. Soooo every year when he was getting ready to go back up there, he would call ol' Paden to come over and "clean out" the freezer to make room for his next haul. I had a good thing going for a number of years...I was sorry to see him quit "hunting"....

The spouse (notice political correct wording) has gotta be gathering if one (there it is again) is to be able to spend enough time to really hunt:)

Did not realize Red Green had been around for so many years. Only discovered him within the past 15 years. There must be something special in the water in Possum Lake to cause such insane creative thought.
