It's a small version of the standard 1970's disco ball lacking most of its spangles.
Not that I ever was inside a true disco.?ÿ Just sayin'.
If I remember correctly, it was the last major software change on the site that made Kent leave for good.
By golly, that rings a bell.?ÿ He was never content with how things worked.?ÿ I sort of think he wanted to go back to an early version where every post in a thread was listed below the original post.?ÿ You could tell where conversations took off on a tangent rapidly as they kept growing to the right, then a post to the original context of the thread would appear on the far left and a new set of stair steps followed.
In our current format you have to check in frequently to not miss some posts when a spurt of comments occur.?ÿ Going to RECENT POSTS only gives you the most recent two or three.?ÿ To find the half dozen other posts on the thread since you were last aboard you must go back to page one and work through looking for posting times to find the other new ones.?ÿ Or there is some other method I have yet to explore in depth.
@wendell more ball pics:
This was found at the Washington State Surplus store in Tumwater WA a few years ago by someone I work with and was sent with the following comment:
"Apparently you can??t carry your tack ball onto the plane with you.
Washington State Surplus is where any contraband that is confiscated at the TSA screening booth at SeaTac ends up. They sell most of it however some items are considered too dangerous to sell. ?ÿWhile we were out at the State Surplus looking for a couple of chairs for the office, we saw a display case that had various items including swords, large knives, brass knuckles, expandable batons, a machete and a?ÿTack Ball."
