In the fine print you discover the three primary ingredients are Tangerines, Oranges and Elderberries.?ÿ TOE, for short.?ÿ Thought about buying a pint of FROG JAM.?ÿ First, ingredient there is Figs.
Should anyone want some jam I guess I could fix you up for the purchase price, tax and shipping.?ÿ My buddy who runs that little grocery store would be thrilled to have some extra business.?ÿ I believe the town where it is located boasts an official population under 50.?ÿ Tonight there may be three times that number in town, however.?ÿ On the third Saturday night of each month they have singing and dancing and all sorts of story telling, primarily by amateurs, in the adjacent building which was originally a hardware store.?ÿ People travel many miles for the free entertainment.?ÿ And, unlike sports venues, the prices for food and drink items are the everyday prices.
There is a local supplier of FROG jam here.?ÿ I like it.

I didn't look at the full label.?ÿ Is that Figs, Raspberries, Oranges and Grapes or something else?
@holy-cow I don't remember exactly, my jar is long gone.?ÿ But that sounds about right.?ÿ I do know it is all fruits.?ÿ Last year was definitely an anomaly but normally we have a few farmer's markets within a few miles of here.?ÿ I try to buy as much local produce and other items as I can.?ÿ Veggies, fruits, meat, jellies and jams, etc.?ÿ I do love to grow my own tomatoes but it is cheaper to buy them at a local farmer's market.
Andy
Some of the produce may not be produced locally.?ÿ About 40 years ago I was in the metropolis of Poteet, Texas during their annual Strawberry Festival as it is recognized as being the Strawberry Capital of Texas.?ÿ Numerous booths had lovely looking strawberries for sale.?ÿ All of them came from California.?ÿ Today there are only about 150 acres of commercially grown strawberries in Texas per one source.
