My father in law, just had his hip replaced. Last Wednesday.

I had to look that up, on youtube.

The animation is MUCH easier to take, and understand, because in the actual video, you cannot see as much of what is happening. Not for the faint of heart....

Animation:

And, A real surgery:

And, one with a pneumatic air powered reaming tool.

I think I will stick to surveying, or something!

🙂

It's sort of like repairing furniture, and uses alot of the same type of carpenter hand and power tools.

My FIL had his hip replaced and my daughter just had knee surgery about two months ago. He must have done 8 or 10 surgeries on that day. He would come out to the waiting room after each surgery and have a portfolio of high res color photos of the inside of his patients joints (shoulders knees etc.) that he would show to the family members, and describe how the surgery went, It was amazing to me the beautiful colors of the ligaments, bones, and surrounding tissues.

Mrs. Cow had a hip replacement about five years ago. She said it was the best decision she ever made. (Definitely better than marrying me.) Her hip was sort of defective since birth so it was just a matter of when rather than if. She suffered tremedously for years. No significant problems since the surgery.

I can imagine... her hip did not improve by marrying you.

"Fetch me my slippers, woman!"

🙂

Just kidding!
