During a topo of a new site we found a pillow case, tied off in a knot...
In it we found a plate with dirt, used underwear wrapped around a bone and tied with multicolored ribbons. On the plate was a coconut wrapped in a shirt.
All of this was painted red.
Obviously a voodoo curse to seek harm via head truma on some hapless soul.

some of that Gullah magic can cause the chills. found some dead birds mushed up into the knot hole of a tree trunk out in the park, but nothing like that. run, don't walk
I guess the NIMBYs in your neck of the woods really take the threat of development seriously
