Everything went well on Sunday. The speech got a few laughs and went down well.

Best thing of all was the booze bill came in $500 under budget. This was probably due to being a Sunday night reception with people having to work the next day.

This is a family photo taken after the ceremony.

I will post more when I get some decent pics.

Cheers

Graham

did you open with the ever popular
For an occasion...

I threatened my sister in law with opening my best man's toast with that one.

Spledeus

I opened with "in preparation for this occassion I made a few brief notes" and then produced a great wad of paper from my pocket which I then threw over my shoulder.

The rest of the speech was done from 3 business card size pieces of paper.

It went down well.

Cheers

There must have been a bug going around or something, every Aussie I've ever known would drink the bar dry before leaving free booze at a happy occasion.

Glad it worked out well, could tell it meant a lot to you to get it right, sounds like you nailed it. Good on you!

Well, the bride is as beautiful as a bride should be, that's for sure.
Is that you in the dark glasses?

And congratulations, by the way.
The groom is befittingly handsome for such a pretty bride.

V. happy for you,

Don

Yes

That is me in the shades. I forgot to take them off. After years in the field my eyes are sensitive to glare and it was quite glarey on Sunday.

Daughter and wife are in front. Self, groom, bride and eldest son are in back.

Cheers

Graham
