Heh-They have to listen to me for 5 to 10 minutes! 😉

This is coming in October, 2012.

First I walk her down the aisle then I get to speak.

Dave
I only had one daughter so I only had the privilege to do it once. It was pretty emotional knowing that with each step you are getting that much closer to giving your little girl to someone else and you hope he does right by her.
(excuse me I need to go get some tissues now)

John, I can relate.

One suggestion is: eat bananas before hand. No problem there.

How about.......One down, one to go, the sooner the better!

Seriously, Dude, it's not that tough. Simply thank everyone for coming and remind them to donate generously during the reception. It is not the end of the world. She will basically be the same person after the wedding as she is today. You will still be wrong and opinionated and old-fashioned and whatever else she says you are.

What, you don't know any YouTube or computer geeks to set you up in full 96" Hi Def? No need to be live, this is memorexland. Relax. Enjoy.

The walking part is easy, just remember to change out of your Nike's. Oh, and take your hat off.

I got off easy. My first one that lived with her boyfriend for about 4 yrs just went to the court - even before she got pregnant. Over a year ago. Now I have a 2 week old grandkid I'll see in April.

Her little sister got pissed at her for all that. Directly told me "Dad - I ain't doing that shyte - YOU ARE walking me down the isle". The problem is she's a bit independant and likely to go career vs ..... whatever that other stuff is. I may need my robo-walker to help walk me.

Her little brother is rather more "...ok, whatever... huh...". My guess is he'll get married in some faraway land and pay my way so I won't care.

Dave, can I borrow your YouTube geek.....:-P

Cheers to ya and mega congrats!!!!

Do like most fathers of the bride

Pull out our pockets to show you are now broke, keep a stiff drink in your hand and keep calling out your wife's name and repeating that you have done your best.....

you will do great....;-)

What? You Never Heard this:

A son is a son until he takes a wife. A daughter is a daughter all of her life.

It pretty much sums it up.
