Several years ago on the other site Sam Clemons asked for help with a faint Times New Roman font in AutoCAD. I think it turned out to be a Windows setting, nothing to do with AutoCAD. I just had my computer in for a fix, and some of the settings got changed, so now I have the problem. Anyone remember the solution. It was a simple setting switch, but where? My Word documents look faint also, if that helps.
I think you are talking about Windows XP and it is in Display Manager (right click screen) and under appearance uncheck font smoothing.
Bless you, bless you, bless you.
Are you the Robert Ellis who worked for Cella Barr in the Phoenix office.
You are very welcome, I have worked around but not in Phoenix, I am always amazed at the number Ellis's in the survey business. Just in Texas the TBPLS list 3 other RPLS's that I don't think I am related too and have never even meet. If you google search Ellis Surveyor you would get hits in several states and the UK. I never though of Ellis as that common a name but I guess it must be. If I ever get to retire I could start a newsletter "Ellis Survey Cousins".
I remember your post from the old and older boards and always found them interesting amd am glad I could be of some small assistance.
